In order to apply for family housing at Fort Stewart, prospective residents must submit an application. Applications can be made on-line on our website or by faxing it to us at 912-408-2461. If you do not have an AKO, please contact our office at 912-408-2460.

In addition, you will need to provide:

  • A copy of official orders to Fort Stewart
  • A copy of Military ID card(s)
  • A copy of Marriage License, if applicable
  • A official DEERS paperwork showing proof of dependants
  • Birth Certificates of Children, if applicable
  • A current end of month LES
  • Clearing Papers from previous station
  • A copy of Military Contract, if this is your first duty station.

You may fax the necessary information to us at 912-408-2461.

***If Fort Stewart is your first permanent duty station, please include a copy of your orders from Basic Training, and AIT so that you may be given the correct eligibility date.

Once all paperwork is received, a Resident Specialist will assist you with available housing units.

Once you arrive to Fort Stewart and check in with your command, please proceed to the Community Management Office located at 50 Austin Road, Fort Stewart, GA 31315.

The following information is provided for your convenience:

• Once you have arranged phone service, please provide our office with the number.

• Renter’s Insurance: additional Renter’s Insurance is recommended.

• Heat, Hot Water, Electric, and Trash Pickup: are included in your BAH.

• Move in Day: Move-in orientations are usually scheduled in advance during normal business hours. Please visit our office to reserve a move-in time that would be most convenient for you. Please allow 45-60 minutes to review and sign all the necessary paperwork.

• Please remember that we will prorate the month you move in and that all monies for that month are due at move in and must be paid by CERTIFIED FUND or CREDIT CARD. (i.e. cashiers check, money order or bank draft) The allotment option can only be started on the 1st of the month and will be withdrawn twice from your LES on the 15th and 1st of every month as allotments are paid in arrears.

• Lease Agreement: Lease is for 12 months. Please do not hesitate to ask the associate, assisting with your orientation about anything you do not fully understand.

• Box Disposal: After unpacking your boxes, please remember to flatten them and dispose of them with your recyclables on your designated trash day.
